If you pick up keys on the road,what will you do then?

It would be lucky enough for you pick up money or other valuable thing when walking on the street.But if it comes to keys---I mean you see keys lying on the road and it is impossible to know who is its ownner,do you pick it up or leave it on the road?
My last weekend was unpleasant,on saturday morning,I lost my keys when running.In my opinion,people couldn't pick up my keys since my keys has nothing to be useful to them.But I was wrong.I went back to find my keys for three time and failed.I thought it must have been picked up by someone.
I don't know why people pick up the lost key even they can use it to do nothing.Have you ever picked up some lost keys on the road? How do you treat the keys then?

I honestly couldn't be bothered about picking up someones keys. However if I seen the person drop them that is a different story but otherwise if I have no idea whos keys they were I wouldn't. They are no use to me and usually most people who finally find out that they have lost their keys do always return and to find them gone is a big disappointment.

Even if they wanted your key ring they should just of taken the key ring and left the keys themselves. I don't understand people sometimes.

I think it is better to leave them at the place where you found them.The person who lost them might come back looking for them.He may still get them if they are where they actually are to be.

I have not tried that and if ever I will also bump a keys in the road, I will not be picking them if no way to trace the owner. I know he/she will be checking the way and find it! Maybe it was a child who found yours and pick it up and throw it also...You know!
