can some one explain the stars and points?

i have a star by my name and i have no idea why.. and how do they figure out how many points you get per discussion etc?? i posted a lot of discussions and got like 20 cents where as when i first started here i posted 2 and jumped to like a dollar (of course some of this is due to referrals but still) so i dont understand.. i looked in the faq but im like brain dead as far as info intake (on new meds that make me an idiot with the attention span of a knat) so anyone know anything? i have a feeling im like the only one that doesnt understand this =(

You have the highest rating my dear, and you could only have one star. If you hover your mouse over your star you could see something like 95/100 you could work for it to reach 99 or the perfect 100/100, but don't let it bother you so much. Enjoy posting Moonlitmagikchild.)

well to explain it simply, the one that you say points or rather the number in the bracket is your user count or something. it is basically the number of posts that you have made.
they may decrease though when your posts get deleted or when a topic that you posted to has been deleted.
you can only have one star and no, it doesn't go above 10. it might go below though if you get negative ratings.
don't worry. i used to be confused on these but now, i understand it more or less.

well first i want to answer ur second question....
so many post and just 20 cent...
i got 20 cent yesterday...and i only made 7 posts including 2 new one....
i add tags to every post which i reply to or i start,,,
second thing is...who ever respond to my reply or new post,,i answer then as well...it is time consuming...but u can make 1$ in just over 30-35 posts..
regarding a star-it shows your rating..m not sure abt it but it is the rating people give after reading ur reply...+ or -.

even i dont have stars so it mean iam also a new user here.iam working hard as you to make 100 posts and trying to reach for the 500th post hope i wil do it in the next 10 days. so that i can copy paste some matter over here.any way this is a common question which comes to all of them.

i think the no pasting till you reach 500 is insane.. im sure a lot of people would abuse it but its annoying to have to write out things if you wanted to post a link or something
