Unbeliever Spouse?

i am christian.... and my husband doesn't practice a religion at all but it says in the bible if u are married to a person who doesn't beleive in god u don't divorce them for it.. but if they want to leave u then let them go b/c they are not bound by the same laws u r. corinthians 7:12-16

I know how you feel kind of. My husband believes in it just not totally. He is more agnostic by thinking what if it is not true. I don't know how to get him to understand what the Bible says and believe it. But he did not grow up in church like me.

Well i do have a unbeliever spouse, and not like in the same religion but different beliefs, but completely a different religion. At first we used to have lots and lots of troubles and quarrels. Nope, none of us were ready to compromise. But i just realized, that My God is almighty and he can do anything. So i slowly depended on prayer, well miracles do happen, now he is a much more firm believer than me! Well but i think in such relations, if love and compromise exists, if both are ready to compromise or any1 , then it can sure work.

Hey. I would say it depends on what your spouses's religion is. Is he a non-believer or does he believe in someone else than God or is he an anti-Christ? All you can do for them is pray, show them how wonderful it is to be a Christian, tell him/her God loves him/her. According to the Bible, if one of you is Christian, you should not divorce the other which is not, 1 Cor 7:12-12 and 1 Peter 3:1-2. Hope this helps!!

If your spouse has different beliefs and religion than your's what you should do is pray and fast on it. It is no use for you to try and convince him about yours, this will only cause strife and remember God is not a God of confusion. Do the things that you know is right and then he/she will see the magnificent glory of God and will come to respect and love your God. The bible says men on earth should shine their light so that man see and glorified God who is in Heaven. So don't makes the devil try and create strife leave it to God. All the best.
