Wow President Bush reported to be considering the Catholic Faith !
I wonder what you think of this. I am a catholic myself and would be glad to have him onboard.
Read that as the President and the Pope met at the Vatican, the English newspaper, The Telegraph reported that Bush may be considering converting to Catholicism at the end of his presidential term.
The Telegraph further reported that various Italian newspapers have been commenting on that news. A friend of President Bush, Fr. George William Rutler, who himself converted to catholicism in 1979, stated that Bush respects how catholicism was founded by Christ who appointed Peter as the first Pope. The priest further commented that the president appreciated the systematic theology of the church and its intellectual cogency and stability.
I remember another article some months ago saying a similar intent of former Prime Minister Tony Blaire of the UK. Wow, two good friends (apparently) doing this in close proximity of timing is quite wonderful. Love to have your comments.
