It can be done but you'd need the patience of a saint to spend even an hour doing this guessing game:)

Trial and error method unless you've got a book full of keyboard shortcuts:)

If your mouse breaks you can still use the tab and other keys to navigate some pages. But, I wouldn't do that because it would aggravate me too much. After breaking my ball mouse about three times in just as many months, I learned how to fix it by opening the underside and making sure that all those little metal bars were in place ... and, eventually taping the back back on. This worked fine for me until I went and bought a totally different mouse. Now everything's intact. What do you do when one of the letters on your keyboard won't work. I've copied and pasted letters, when needed, in this situation. But, pc problems are a major b#$%h

I have been using a computer since the DOS days so I would say I'm very comfortable with keyboards. I see to it that I learn the alternative ways of inputting something in my PC. If keyboard is inaccessible I have OSK, if my mouse is offline, I know most the shortcuts to get me going even for browsing, I will enable Firefox's addon for Mouseless Browsing(MLB).

Nah, it's pretty simple to use the keyboard to mimic the functions of the mouse. Sometimes it's even faster.

Ever since i was a keyboard friendly coz, i find it more useful and easy to use than mouse. That was in typing purpose and such a like. But of course there are application that mouse is really important like adobe photoshop. So it all depends on the application that i need to finish.

i mostly like to use the "alt+tab" to jump from one windows to other windows either using the mouse, if i using adobe photoshop i use some shortcut function beside depend on the mouse too much, but of course it hard to draw a picture using keyboard so mouse is still important in that way :)

Yes...I will my keyboard when the mouse is not working well.. Keyboard can also help you but the only problems with the keyboard is it is not too fast when you use a mouse..

try this, open two windows explore and maximize both of it and make sure your task bar (at START button) not always on top of any windows. and now try to jump from one windows explore to another windows explore using your mouse, did you have to minimize it first or have to press the win key, the faster is using the "alt + tab".

but if i have some job to do, like writing something in word or excel then i will do it with no problem, even print it on paper

Oh I can not work with out the mouse. It is not very easy and it is strenuous for me also. If it is not very urgent work to be finished before morning, then I will try to work with out the mouse. Otherwise I will leave it till the mornig till replacing the broken one with a new mouse.

I would only know how to turn off the computer using the keyboard but then I would buy a new mouse the next day lol
To turn it off with my keyboard i would use the windows button then tab button to move over to turn off and then enter butter to choose turn off lol :)
I dont know how to do other things without a mouse.

haha, i have asked this to many people before. yes, i think i can, I know lots of shortcuts by using Ctrl, Alt etc. i think that i can use the computer without the mouse. but, can you use the computer without the mouse?? hahah, thats a lot easier. i would only open the screen keyboard by going to Start All Programs Accessories Accessibilities On-Screen keyboard. you should really try that if you havent yet.
