I have no good impression to the police officers in Malaysia, for me they always involve in corruption only.
My aunt experienced before. She forgot the her license expeired, some more half year. Then she fetching me, we were blocked by the police officers. He asked my aunt for RM100, no negotiable. At last my aunt have to go to get monet. I was so angry, ,that officer threatened us, saying that else we have to go to court and that time pay for more. So frustrated and angry.
But there was once the police being nice. My friends car out of petrol that time, there was a police officer give us a helping hand that time.
But basically, I heard and saw a lot the bad thingy from the police officers, so I do not have a good imppression to them.

i know a lot of police officers in our place, and some of them are my friends. just like any ordinary people, there are some good and there are some bad policemen. you can say that a policeman is bad but you cannot say that all of them are...

Overall, I have a huge respect for Policemen, and Policewomen and would never want to trade places ever with any of them. The things they have to deal with and put up with on a daily basis is beyond me. I would not want to have to chase after crooks, and handcuff them and risk being shot at, etc. For me, it takes a special person to do a job such as this. Even when we feel they may not always be the best, they are there to protect us, and we should be thankful to them as well. Just my thoughts.

yeah, I had many encounters with police but, none was so pleasent, I mean I got robbed a few times, all they did its just asking stupid question and they never found the thief, but they messed up many days!
Maybe the thiefs stoled a few things from me, but the police stoled many hourse of my life that I could better slept than wasting them on nothing! huh! :(
PS: I'm from Romania, if it makes a diference! :)

My husband used to be a police officer, so I have a huge respect for them. What so many people don't think about, is that cops are people too. Some are good people, and some are bad people, which makes them a bad cop. They don't (well, the good ones anyways) go out of their way to make your life hell, but they're also not going to sit back and allow you to do something that could hurt you or someone else. They're just people too, who have husbands or wives, who have kids...they're just regular people. It's amazing how many people don't realize that. So many people think that they're just a spawn of satan sent to ruin your life :)

Let me tell you...when I went into labor with my second child, we were on the way to the hospital and my husband pulled out of a street too fast. Well, we got pulled over and the cop proceeded to put my husband into the back of his car and "run his information" because he just so happend to forget his license on the way out. Meanwhile, I'm in tears because my water just broke in the back seat and the cop tells me," I don't want to see your tears little lady." WHAT?! Are you kidding me? He finally let my husband go and I gave birth at the hospital 45 mintues later! So, um.....I don't think a lot of them are actually there to "Protect and Serve" like the sticker says.
