Submitting tags to discussions / myLot

I have a question here guys.What is the pointy in submitting tags for discussions?I try to always do this and my tags are never put onto the tags shown for discussions.I put appropriate tags and still nothing will show up.Is this normal?Has it happened to anyone else here?It is really starting to frustrate me now because I am not putting anything bad for my tags.

I think i read that they only put the first five tags to be submitted. I am not sure this is so it is just something that i read in another discussion.
