Has anyone read Engleby by Sebastian Faulds?

If so what did you think of it? I couldn't put it down for the first 3/4 of it and then the momentum just went for me and I found the ending flat. I found the main character so human and funny and sad. Il liked the idea of all the parallel realities but wasn't sure about the diary narratives. All v intriguing, Faulds is such a good writer. Anyone agree?
