Okay so I have been checking the online singles in my area...and I have noticed that most of them are middle aged men, which is not so bothersome, but most of the "essays" they write about themsleves include a line something like "I've been hurt too may times before by love," and "I'm tired of giving my all and getting nothing in return." And I know that online dating or searching for a date is not exactly like meeting someone in the real world...but does this not turn you off?
To me, it's the equivalent of going on a date with someone who only wants to talk about their ex. Forewarning single guys reading this....we do not want to hear about past relationships until the one you are attempting with us has some kind of foundation....because no matter how much we say we understand it makes you wonder.....and the same can be said about us women talking about our exes.
So why would a person list on their personal ad something like this....to me it is a huge turn off...because I would rather read about a person's strengths and learn the negatives in due term. Otherwise shouldn't we all just list a post like this:
31 yearold caucasin male seeking any companionship ranging from 22 to 44. Been hurt before in relationships in the past and am feeling quiet lonely. I am aninsecure individual who needs constant reassurance of my purpose in life. So hit me up, maybe just maybe I will be your prince in training.
**this is not an actual ad I read and it is not my ad because I am a girl first of all.
Just a thought.
