Yikes! I had downloaded images from Webshots and I had one of them set as my screen saver for several months.
It was one my son liked. It was a dark picture from the 'Fast and the Furious' movie and the words "Fast and Furious" were written in white across the screen.
We started seeing it through our webpages a couple days ago, so I chose another picture to replace it.
I can STILL see the words "Fast and Furoious" lightly on my screen all the time! And it's not even the screen saver anymore!
What's up with that????!!!!

Don't you love it! It will fade over time, just don't leave your monitor on with that banner, you should set your screen saver to black or make sure its set for a four hour activation so it doesn't pop up 30 seconds after you have no activity on your monitor.

Awww...man, I've really been wanting to get a flat screen monitor....I guess I can push it up higher on my 'wants' list now! Lol.

It wasn't much of a screen saver. The whole point of a screen saver is to keep that from happening. It generally doesn't happen on modern monitors, but they still kept the whole screen saver thing around. I would definitely upgrade your monitor, if you have something old enough that it can "burn in" an image its probably using a lot more electricity than a new LCD would.

Oh, that sucks. The same thing actually happened to me awhile ago. But it wasn't as extreme. My iTunes had been up for awhile, so it got burned in, temporarily. Yours might be temporary, too! Try going to this site : http://www.jscreenfix.com It has an online fix that worked for myself. However, if it doesn't work then I guess you can either try ignoring it or buying a new monitor.
Good Luck!
