I would not buy a generic ... even in tough times. I just wouldn't buy a new purse. I'm not a vain person by any means. I usually purchase everything else on clearance because I do seek out the best deals all the time - I even shop for groceries with coupons. I just happen to really love Coach. I know they are not the super most expensive brand, but they are also not cheap by any means. My friend had a friend who sold the generic bags, and she got one, but I just didn't even think twice about it. I want the real thing or nothing... is that crazy?

People are intitled to their personal preferences and to strive for the best quality in things is not a problem, im sure your not the only one who dose. As long as you don't have a snooty attitude about it, then people might resent you for it.

I would rather have the real one also. If i cant afford a real purse then i just wouldn't' buy one for a while. One time i was at the shore with one of my Dooney and Bourke purses. There was a girl standing right next to me with a fake Dooney and Bourke bag. It was like the same one with the charms on it. She kept starring at my bag the whole time. I wouldn't walk around with a fake bag as vain as that does sound. Also someone i use to work with said she would buy fake Coach purses all the time and one day she bought a real one and after that she never bought a fake Coach purse again and she didn't even use her old Coach purse either.

It's not crazy. You just like what you like. I am not a fan of coach myself, but there are other brand names I like. Although there is nothing wrong with shopping for a deal. Everyone is entitled to have what they want, and if thats your thing, then okay. Nothing wrong with it.
