Rap music and degrading woman

ya we can be beautiful. but y does it have to come out so nastily- if that is such a word, in rap music?? I am like a hip hop/rap LOVER! i love lil wayne and sean kingston etc... but its kinda hard to listen to when they r saying "slidin down the pole no panties, no shirt." Y cant men just keep their mouth shut about these certain things??!!! its gross! I get frequent ipod checks from family to make sure that i dont have this music! I do and idk y!! This should not be tollerated..... but lets let lollipop stay!! haha

well some rap songs are seriously obscene..but akon is a good rapper and some songs of his are nice...i just love eminem..but then almost all his songs hv obscene lyrics!

I see what you mean. And that's why I don't really listen to it. Run DMC is one of the only rap groups that I can honestly say that I admire. And that's because of what they represented. Back in the 80s and early 90s rap wasn't like what it is now. There's no way you could possibly defend rap these days. All of that talk about learning about growing up in rough neighborhoods is thrown right out of the window. Being 'gangster' is glorified now and that's why rap has literally lost its appeal.
