My day didn't go very well.

Some people that I know have been begging me to let them pluck my eyebrows for a while, so I finally caved. They told me that it would not hurt, but it did. And now my eyebrows are a lot thinner than what I am used to seeing whenever I dare to look into the mirror. I cannot handle change very well, so that is probably why it is bothering me so much. I should not have let them do it in the first place. I even let them put on make-up, which I hate wearing. Never again...
But, on to what is really bothering me:
Also, I have a mandatory college orientation that I have to attend in the morning. It would be alright if it were just one-day, but I have to go there early in the morning, spend the night, and then stay the next day. It does not end until 5 or 6PM that day. People do not think that locals have to board there, but the website says that everyone does that is attending the orientation, that staying the night there in the dorm is mandatory. I have a bit of a problem with that. I have to stay in a dorm room with someone that I do not know. I chose a local college instead of one of the better ones that I have to choose from for that exact reason--to avoid boarding with someone that I do not know. I am rather terrified of this.
What do you think of this? Also, what would you do in this situation?

I have had my eyebrows waxed once before. It did not hurt too bad. Try your lip. Now that hurts!
I think it is pretty dumb that you have to stay over night in the dorm even though you will not be living in the dorms. I would call them and see if they will let you not stay. I don;t blame you for not wanting to spend the night in a room with someone you do not know.

I wish that would be the case. But, they have cleverly set everything up this year to where orientation does not end until around 11.30PM. They had to where we have to pay for orientation, and boarding, and food costs. So, even if they would let me out of it, I would not have any way of getting home, as I do not have a car and there is nothing running that late to transport me, as far as I know. It is a bit unfair. Thank you for responding.

I would have killed them and tell them it's my body leave it alone. I am not your barbie doll.
