In the civilian world, it is so hard for us to get a job as soon as they find out that either me or my husband is in the military, they deny me because of a lack of stability..which is kind of understandable. I don't think that it's fair for me to have him to get my military id card, or our childrens. you have to have power of attorney which I find ridiculous. Does any other spouses go through this plus. I have more to talk about, but too sleep to do it.

No kids yet but yeah, it's not easy. Had to get that power of attorney, it's impossible to do anything without it. It drives me nuts that I have to handle everything because there really is no point in him doing it only for a couple of months and then he's gone again on another deployment. Job wise I haven't had to worry about since I work at home, and my husband is Reserves and he deploys and I stay put. But I understand how you feel, I would try my best when applying for a job to not bring the fact you are a military wife up unless you must.
