I work in a Hotel Restaurant-Last week,We had a party in,one of whom waited until we had her Breaded Brie Appetiser, which had a few walnuts in the salad garnish in front of Her before thinking to mention She had A NUT ALLERGY! Another Person the same week DID think to mention She was on a Coeliac Diet,I told the Chef, and He suggested He suggested a Cream and Tomato Sauce for Her Seabass...I went back with the Suggestion..and it turned out She's also Allergic to Tomatoes, and was showing me the blotches on her bare arms that tomatoes caused Her...Part of the main course Garnish that night was a half stuffed tomato... So..Do YOU give Your Waiter the information that could save you a trip to Hopital? Or do You Like Living Dangerously? Ever had an experience of this?

I don't have any allergies thankfully but, how silly some people are to take the risk - surely it would be best to inform at the time of reservation or to mention all allergies not just wait to find out what is on the menu. If I did have any allergies I just wouldn't take the risk at all!!! x
