So before I got pregnant I had gain 40 pounds due to a thyroid problem. Then I pregnant and gained another 50 pounds! I know crazy isn't it. Well my baby is 8 months old and I have lost 52 pounds!!! I still have a long way to go, but I can do it. I do a dance routine in the morning and at night I do pilates. I have changed my diet also. Just playing with the baby is a workout now too, she is over 20 pounds already....my god they grow sooooo fast. I was wondering what you all did to lose your baby wieght?

Congratulations!! Both on the birth of your baby and on the successful weight loss! It is certainly not easy. I actually lost a lot of weight right after I had my son, ended up lower than my prepregnancy weight, then gained it all back and then some. I think I was at about the same weight as in my 8th month, about 2 or 3 months ago. Lately, I have started keeping a food journal- which helps A LOT. I also started limiting my calories, cutting back gradually. I am now at 1500 calories a day, and have lost about 10 pounds in the past month and a half. I still have a way to go, but I am finally feeling motivated by my success to continue, though it is very hard. I also dance every day, and I play with my son who is now a toddler.

I like the idea of a food journal, I may start that. It would help me say no to the things I shouldn't eat! I really think dance helps, it is a great workout. And just playing with the baby gives me a workout. I can't wait to have my body back...LOL

Our baby is 7 month old now and her mother is gaining weight. I think you should give her some tips. She doesn't know where to start.:)

I would be happy to give her some tips. That is if she wants them. It is hard work when you have to also care for the baby, keep up the house, work and feed the family but it is possible you just have to want it. So stick with her and encouragement really helps.
