tarantula as pets

I'm planning to buy a tarantula and setup a terrarium. Is it a good pet to keep. Is it high maintenance? Any unexpected behaviors? I'm planning to buy a the orange knee type. Please help me decide. Thanks,

I personally hate and am scared of spiders,and I would never have a tarantula as a pet,because I would be afraid it would get out and bite me,I would much rather have a nice dog or cat,because they are easier to take care of and safer lol.

dogs are actually very a very high maintenance pet for me. i need something that i can left at home most of the time. but thanks for the response. happy mylotting hellcowboy
