My boss often ask me question whay i always go home late. she keeps saying that i should be able to manage my time and being effective in finishing my entire work. but i don't know is it really me who has less effective or there are really so many things i have to do. she supposes to know that i've work overloaded but she doesn't seem to care at all. if we work overload all the time, how can we be more effective in doing our job?
well, i don't know whether all the bosses are had the same paradigm or only the small group of bosses which has that kind of particular behavior. pay one person to carry out a hundred of tasks, its so effective for companies financial off course.
anybody have the same experience with me?

it will depend on the person, the type of working and also the rules in his working field. in my country, generally working hours would 8 hours per daily or minimum 36 hours per week. after that, it will be counted as long hours and the employee has right to get compensation for those long hours

I've been in the same boat, but actually the boss doesn't even realize about me going home late because of such overworked trouble. nowadays I've been working at home, for the same boss. he keeps giving me more and more task to do, and sometimes I just got upset with myself because actually some tasks could be delegated to the other but it seemed like he just wanted me doing it and never even analyzed if I could handle all those things.
I am thinking of getting out of the company actually ... but still considering some other sides, like the effect on the other workers if I just leave them like that.

I would never work more than 10hr days betweeen sleep there arent many hours left for me to see my family. It just wouln'd be worth it to me. I know some people that do work those hours and can't posiably imagine how they do it.

In the short term it may be more effective. But if it is a long tern scenario I don't think it will be effective.A person can only burn the candle at both ends for so long. Sorry this is your experience.
