Hi concentrate more on responding to the discussion which i like and about which i have sufficient knowledge.I do start one or two new discussion everyday alomost where as i do respond to more than 10 discussion per day.
I know i am very slow comparetively other mylotter here who are responding 100 discussion per day.
I do concentrate on my office work so i don't get much time to post discussion but whenever i get time i do respond rather then start new discussion.
But to get more reward in mylot i thing i need to start more interesting discussions.

Hi shay, I spend most the time here reply to others’ discussions. Once I login mylot I would like to check whether there is any new response received. If I find new response on my discussions, I would like to visit his profile to pick a topic which I am interested, if there is any, to leave my comment there.
I tend to take care of my new discussion and try to leave comment on every response I have received. I have to spend much time of doing this so I don’t start new discussion frequently. Happy posting and take care.

Well, there are more times when I respond to discussions posted here. I rarely post new discussions. There are instances when I can't find good topics to work on. It's easier to look for good topics to respond to though.

I usually just post in the discussions posted by others. Firstly, because I think people have more interesting topics than that which I can think about. But if I come across with a good idea for a topic, I do post them too. But most of the time, it's more of me responding because I feel that the responsibility of responding is quite easier than that of someone who starts the topic. Why? Because when you respond, you just react. While if you posted the topic, then you have the responsibility of reading the responses.
Why?
When I do mylot, I always see to it that there is a flow of communication, most especially if I am the one who posted the topic. It could be likened to that of a speaker and a receiver in a normal conversation. When the speaker opens a topic, then the receiver responds and of course the speaker should read or listen to what the receiver says. And mostly, if the topic is so interesting then so many people do respond and I should respect the people who responded by acknowledging and reading their posts.
So, that's why it's quite easier to be the one to respond rather than to start the topic.
Well, that's just me, there are more people here who just open a topic and never bother reading them. And I think that's quite rude.

I will concerntrate on my new discusisons more, and also the resopnses to other discussions.. infact, now i have raised around 300 discussion so far, out of my 650 postings..
In mylot i have come across more people like you only, because yesterday, one of our friends also raise the discussion stating that she has raised 1000 discussion by herself.. out of the total postings of 9500..
This give the output of 10% his total discusions she has started.
if every one should concentrate on the response to others discussion, who will concentrate on the new discussions.. so, my request to every one to atleast you can start one discussions for your every five discussion response. this may be the solid percentage which is the smooth going in mylot.
Even though if we found more and more discussions still shows under "discussions with no responses", why don't we do 1:5 ration, to start the dicussions and responses..
What is your opinion in this regard..?

Hi!
In fact I've never thought about it but I think you are absolutely right. If people will repond to 5 other discussions before posting their own new discussion there will be less discussions with no responses and it will be great for everyone.
Thank you! Have a wonderful day!

I invariably respond to discussions more than I open my own, I thing it is primarly due to the fact that I invariably find it easier to say something on a subject which has already started discussion and its much faster.

Hi,
I concentrate more on responding to discussions. I think that responding to discussions are easier than starting discussions. If I want to start discussions, I will need to think about the questions, the title of the discussions and would my discussions get responses from mylotters.
I will only start discussions when I have problems to ask and when I need some opinions from mylotters.
