I am working as a medical transcriptionist. At one of career, I had been doing transcription on the children specalist and it mainly involves child abuse. I was surprised at the amount of casses that comes as the abuses against the child especially very young children. I think we should need to take special steps to minimize this. Is there way to minimize child abuses? Should not the people who performed child abuses be taken to psychiatrist and locked there until fully treated? I think these kind of people are mainly suffering from mental illness.

After transcribing medical stuff you want to come to Mylot? Wow!
Some places in my country have rules that no child can be alone with one adult, ever. Must be two adults and the adults must change pairings often.
Mental illness or not, depends on if the person wants to change.

Thank you for best response.
Ideally, if a person had those feelings, that person would seek help. Unfortunately, they don't seem to until they've done something wrong and are forced, at least here it seems that way. Maybe because that's all we hear about. Maybe some people do go in before they do anything wrong. It would be nice to think that some tried to get help before they did anything wrong.

I could not do your job!! I have heard of a baby abused by her father and since can not think of anything else! I would be a NUT case if I had to hear about more and every day.
Please say a prayer, light a candle or what ever you do for those who are in desperate need of wishes of improved health!! Her name is Mya, she is just a baby and has "bleeding and swelling on her brain, multiple fractures to her ribs, bruising to her pancreas, and fractures to both of her legs." IF she survives, the Dr's said she would be severely brain damaged as well as blind and deaf.
I don't think it is happening more, just more openly talked about and more likely to be reported.

It is not more common than it always has been. It just gets more publicity these days.
While it is not a good thing for an adult to sexually abuse a child I think the aftermath is made must worse by people telling the child that being abused has done them a lot of harm.

I am sure child abuse has been a common thing always as some people that are cowards or disturbed prefer to seek their prey among the most helpless. The difference now is that things are worded more and we know about them. Bullying at school and playgrounds have always existed. And I don`t know any woman who has not been abused (or tried to be abused) by a member of her own family. All this happens in all social categories, from the very rich to the extreme poverty.

It is really sad that after 4 years child abuse cases are still common.. I don't get how people could be so cruel to innocent children. They are so pitiful and people who abuse them should be severely punished.. Only way to catch abusers is to have concerned citizens who will report them.

Sure there is these parents that are abusing there kids need to take classes on how to control there anger, it's simple.. Adults think that child abuse is ok and acceptable in which we most of us know it's not.. But it doesn't help when being young they too were abused that is why when they become adults they do the same thing to their child.. I think parents that do abuse children should take classes no matter what it will help them learn that what they are doing is wrong and not acceptable.. However there are adults that were abuse when younger and refuse to hit there child.. I was one of those people.. I don't let my son get away with things but yet don't abuse him because i can't control myself.. I know how it feels to be hit yelled at and things in that sort.. I want my son to grow up and know there are many other ways to deal with such things than to abuse another! Just my oppion!

Those are really sick, and they should be lock like you said above. I hate people beat up their own children, or commit violence to children. They are innocent, and they had done nothing wrong, why should they have to experience such trauma in their young age. Let them try to go through abuse, see what they would say about it. It just horrible to hear those cases.
