For all of you love country music and for those of you who have never given it a shot...I want to get a list going. A list of what you think were or are the BEST country songs of all time. Here's a short sample of mine:
1. He Stopped Loving her today- George Jones
2. The Devil Went Down to Georgia- The Charlie Daniels Band
3. Stand By Your Man- Tammy Wynette
4. Take This Job and Shove It- Johnny Paycheck
5. Hello Darlin'- Conway Twitty
6. Crazy- Patsy Cline
7. The Fishin Song- Brad Paisley
8. The Dance- Garth Brooks
9. Elvira- The Oak Ridge Boys
10. Get Drunk and Be Somebody- Toby Keith
These are just a few. Tell me yours!

I think it might be easier to list the all time WORST country songs.
However, mine would include:
1.) all the ones you listed
2.) anything by Alan Jackson
3.) anything by George Strait
4.) most of Dolly Parton's songs
5.) certain particular ones of Randy Travis including Digging Up Bones
6.) 16 Tons
7.) North to Alaska
8.) Many of Johnny Horton's songs
9.) Yellow Rose of Texas
10.) The Ballad of Davy Crockett
11.) The Man Who Shot Liberty Vallence
And many, many more.
I know this isn't exactly on topic but I can't remember the names of all the songs of all the artists I like listening to. And there are so many that are "all time BEST".

That's too funny...I agree, there are some BAD, BAD country songs out there. That's a good list. I can't remember all of the artist either. Most of the time it's just whatever gets my feet moving for me!
