My nephew recently returned from a field trip to Washington DC. I asked what he like best about the trip and he said it was the visit to Arlington National Cemetary, which surprise me a great deal as his whole focus in life is Halo 3. I ask him why Arlington and he said it just seemed so peaceful and the people that are buried there must be very special because they get special treatment when they are buried(he saw a funeral procession pass in the distance). It got me thinking about an article I had read in National Geographic on Arlington(June 2007), so I had to find the article and re-read it. It's an excellent piece on the history of the cemetary. If you get the chance you should read it. Which brings me to my question. Has anyone been to Arlingon or have family or friends buried there? I hope it's not too personal.

I used to live in Maryland, outside of D.C. and, yes, I've been to Arlington National Cemetary. It is a beautiful place and I agree with your nephew, it is very peaceful and the men and women buried that are treated with the utmost respect.
