piercing a baby's ears

It is totally up to you and her father, others can deal with their own issues on their own. Personally I choose not to get my kids ears pierced. It is their body and not mine to modify other than something medically necessary for their own good. If they get their ears pieced and they happen to get infected and they end up scared it will be on me. I don't want that on my conscience. They will have plenty of time when they get older if they want to shoot a piece of metal through their skin, they can get a job and pay for it themselves.

I just recently got my daughters ears done. they had 2 ladies do it. one on each ear and they counted.. 1...2...3 and there they went! it was a lil shock to her but she didnt scream bloody murder or anything so dont worry. I was a little concerned about it at first because i had to wait till i was like 7 or something before i could get mine done. my daughter looks beautiful with them. you will come across some people who are against it and will criticize you for it but you are the mother and im sure if she decides when she is bigger that she dont want them she will take them out. or you may find that she loves them and will thank you for it. I wouldnt worry. Your the parents your opinions are the only ones that matter. :) And dont worry.. You are in no way a horrible mother if you do it.. if thats the case ill happily be a horrible mother with you cause i just got mine done... i had been debating about it for a while.. u can look at my discussions.. i had a discussion like this not that long ago.
