Does it make a difference what system to but GH3 on?????

i own a xbox 360 and i own a ps2. i want to get gutar hero 3. first of all i dont know wether i should wait for the new one to come out (aerosmith) or should i just try to save some oney and just get the guitar hero 3. also, does it make any diffeence what console you buy it for? all im going to be doing is using the guitar so does it make any difference what console i buy it for. i think the ps2 version is cheaper but im not sure. does the hd on 360 have an effect on the gameplay for GH3
