I only heard it first from Sheryl Crow hehe. Why is it titled as such though?

It's read as JAMAICA... brits have rhotic accents hence the 'ER... was named jamaica because it had a reggae beat not very usual for the band...
there were some who covered this song and didn't know how to pronounce the title... pronounced it like die-er make-er not jamaica...
sheryl crow was one of those who mispronounced it! i heard/seen it on youtube! what a shame since she had a pretty rendition of the song!

Ahhh I get it. Jamaica. COuldn't have guessed it. Gregorio may have mentioned it but I must've missed it.

I also do love this song, as well as most of their music!! :) Too bad not all can appreciate their kind of creativity.
