The Next Food Network Star Season 4

The new season just ran its 3rd episode, and I'm wondering what fans are thinking of the show so far. Who are your favorites and not so favorites? I admit, when I first saw Lisa with her stilleto heels and big beads, I thought she was a piece of work and phony. But it turns out that she is knowledgable about cooking and does cook well. If only she could stop squinting. I think pairing her up with Kevin brought out the worst in her. I felt that he couldn't represent well his culinary point of view. It seemed contrived, but nothing he cooked spoke of romance. His personality was grating. At first I thought Kelsey or Chelsey was confident and a good candidate, but I started agreeing with the judges, that she has become annoying and phony. I did feel badly for her when Martha Stewart showed up and ate her Sloppy Jane. When Martha Stewart said to the judges she "never" eats that kind of food, she sounded snotty and very limited. Lisa fell all over Ms. Stewart, and when she said in tears, "This is what I've lived for," I thought, Poor girl, she doesn't have much of a life, does she? I almost fell over when (can't think of his name) played the harmonica and sang to Ms. Stewart. Apparently he didn't make a bad choice. I'm still on the fence regarding Nipa. I didn't like her temper tantrum, but she swallowed humble pie and apologized. I thought the judges were generous in allowing her to continue, but then again, I felt they kept the better of the two chefs at the elimination. She does have a culinary point of view that hasn't been represented on the Food Network. I'd also like to see Shane (the 19-year-old) win, because he is young, and I'd think he'd bring a fresh perspective as well as appeal to a new demographic. The scavenger hunt and cooking on a train was nice twist. Whatever happened to Amy from last season? Did she ever get her own show? Okay fans, it's your turn. What do you think?
