Everybody wants to be close to their girlfriends or boyfriends, maybe not together everyday, but close enough, or so I think. So what would you do if your girlfriend or your boyfriend lives far from you? Will you be still with her or him? Or will you give up everything and move to where she or he lives? I'd like to hear what you think as it seems my friends who are far from their girlfriends or boyfriends, they broke up finally, what about you?

I had a boyfriend who lives afar from me. It is about 10-12 hours drive from my place. Our relationship lasted for more than 4 years. And we just got married. Back then, we always call each other almost a day and text each other. He also visits me atleast once a month. It was very hard but if both parties wants the relationship to work, it can work. It will all depend on both parties. As the saying goes,"It takes two to tango." If only a party will do everything that won't be enough to make it work. You will need constant communication, love, trust, and faith in each other.

Congratulations Laykristinn! Yes, when two parites are far away from each other, it is very hard. we dont see each other very often, maybe once every two or three even four or five months :( because we are tooo far away from each other. Sometimes I felt like I was forgotten but sometimes it makes me feel that he really cares abt me, so I really dont know the truth anymore. I am stuck :(

Good luck! As Japanese says, "Ganbatte ne." or Chinese "Ja you". It means do your best. Long distance relationships are double the hard of not long-distance relationships. Just hold on to the relationship and you won't even realize that you lasted that long. I can't even believe that as of now we are married and our relationship lasted that long.
