I've tried a few and they are either really tart or too sweet. Does anyone have a good recipe for cole slaw out there? If so, please share it with me. Thanks!

You have to have a good balance between the vinegar and sugar in order to avoid the too sweet or too tart. I had cole slaw with pineapple in it once that had a little twang to it but it wasn't extremely tart, probably because of the sugar. I wish I had the recipe but it was at a town event and I didn't know who made it.

i have quite a little know how about cole slaws...
ingredients are the following...
1. mayonnaise
2. vinegar
3. sugar
4. oil ( corn oil would be good enough )
mix it all, first the sugar and mayo...taste it so it wont be that sweet... then add the vinegar.. just enough so that it would be easy to stir...(info: vinegar has an effect on mayonnaise)...lastly add a little oil ... taste it...

I have only made it once and got the recipe from the foodnetwork.com Sandra Lee had a real good one that included jicama. We really liked it! In fact, it may have been called Jicama Slaw. Anyway, I have not made it since, but it puts a really interesting twist on your typical cole slaw. Anytime I am looking for a recipe, I always hit the foodnetwork website. Have a good day!
