Sweetie thank you so much for this I really appreciate this I have got a bit of Set back with my Lungs from the Operation but being treated for it now Still weak and tired but my Oxygen Level is very low due to Lung infection and coughing up Blood but the Nurse said it was unavoidable for this to happen Thank you Sweet for my making my Day special Love and Hugs to you

I celebrate with my children and receive a cup of tea in bed to start the day and then open gifts and cards. I usually get bought a small cake and enjoy blowing out the candles and making a wish. Sometimes I may go out in the evening for a meal, this year I had to work but still enjoyed the day. Ellie :D

How do I celebrate my birthday, I take myself out to my favorite restaurant and order a steak med well done and baked potato, then I order cheese cake as my dessert. Mine wont be until'this November so have a ways to wait for that.

I do give myself permission to do something just for me on my birthday. I have already been asked to work on my birthday, which is not for almost two months, but I do not think I will. I do not always have cake, but we usually go out someplace nice to eat. Yes, we need to celebrate the day we are born. That is such a good choice. I trust our friend will also have a good day, and I am pretty sure she will with DW there looking out for her.

Hi pye, It's so sweet of you to start this discussion, but I'm not surprised though, as I know how much you enjoy 'all' types of celebrations. I think you've got the right idea about these things, and I agree, we should do something special to mark each year we're granted. There's certainly nothing wrong with treating ourselves. As for me, my birthday's coming up in a week, and my daughter's is the day after, then my grandson's the day after that. Oh, and my niece's is on June 23rd. Because of all of this, mine often gets lost in the shuffle, so to speak, but I always end up going out to dinner (with somebody), and this year my sister's coming out in the evening, and my daughter's celebrating her birthday at a restaurant with a group of her friends. My sister and I will 'tag along' to the same place, but will sit separately, and have a nice dinner together. Then my daughter's bringing a few friends home for a sleep over, and my sister's spending the night, so I'll have company for me too. On Sunday the 29th, we're going to my grandson's 5th birthday party, and then we're taking off for a week to my sister's for our July holiday. I hope this all makes sense, as it seems like an exhausting week etc. Oh yes, I always get some gifts too, so I am really blessed. Remind me again, when your birthday is pye! Hugs to you.
