Hey guys, im desperate ive been learning C++ for like 1 week until now, but had no real reason for it, i mean ive started it out of fun and knowledge i might acquire from it..
I just want to ask if its at all possible to learn C++ and have to a work with it, or even make your own program... Ive always wanted to create my own program, but after reading in internet i found out that this is a very complicated thing to do, it takes time which im ready to contribute in it, but seeing people that learn C++ for like a year, and not even making anything on hes own, puts me in question mark about this...
So all i ask is to help me decide learn further or just forget about it and let my first dream go ( creating my own fun site )

C++ is very hard to learn but it teaches you important lessons if you're going to be a programmer. Have you already learned to program in C? When I was in college we started with C as the foundation before moving on to C++. If you're having too much trouble with C++, and it's possible, try learning Visual Basic. That's a nice programming code and you can quickly learn to create programs that run. If you're interested in website design though you should be learning to write some of the way cool programming code that's regularly used on the web. I'm a database programmer so I only know some basic html code, which is used on the web, because I wasn't interested in web design so I never took it any farther than that. You should check into what code people who maintain websites are using these days and see if you can learn that.

Well i have no problem learning C++ , actually i made it pretty much far, the problem is i cant decide, i think im not into this at all... its so hard to choose! :(
Anyways im continueing with PHP now, cause ive decided to set up my own site ;) hope ill success in this.
and about Visual basic, im not sure people saying that its not worth going back in time , since its very outdated and uses very simple language on which u cannot build any good programs, besides that all works require you to have knowledge of C++ ...
