do you treat your days on myLot the same way with working days?

Up until recently I was coming on here everyday, spending quite a lot of time on here. But since I have been on holiday I have realised that I was spending way too much of my time on here, and that there was other things that I was neglecting. Now I have organised myself into a routine so that I have days off from here to do other things and so far it is starting to work out well. I still spend quality time on here and yet get to do lots of other things!

I try to log in every day when I have the time to do so. Even though I earn money from here, it's not the same as work. People from all over the world log in to myLot, so I get different stories everyday. If I take the weekends off, I'll miss a lot of good stuff. I actually find myself posting more actively on myLot during the weekends. Instead of treating mylot as a workday like you do, I'm most active here during my break from work.

i treat mylot not like work at all. I login whenever i want to have fun in forums and pass time. But thats just me.

I treat my days on myLot like working days but with lots of overtimes and no day offs. I'm just at home most days if not everyday so I just stay online and post here in myLot as much as I can. But now, I'm trying to have at least one day off to rest my mind.

Well, I log in to mylot everyday but I'm not in here like 8 hours straight? that's regular work right? For me, I log in to mylot like 2-4 hours, then attned to my household chores then come back again in the late aftenoon of in the evening most of the time. So. I feel like working as part time jon. But there are also times that I will devote whole day in mylot. I have one day off from mylot and that is my church day. So then, I am here 6 days a week.

I'm not yet working but I could imagine if I'm working 8 hours a day then compare it to what I do now being in mylot and just do mylot in a day. It's really different because I can just go out for a while whenever I want, stop mylot for a while there. Or I can sleep after few hours of mylotting. But if you're in a working hours, you can't just take a nap or go buy something outside your office. It's really different.

i used to spend lots of hours here,but that was when mylot was at its very own begining and there were few members here and we shared our thoughts,experiences,and became friends.. the payment also seemed good.. but now with all this big comunity and useless discussions, we started to lose our interest i think. i also don't know about the payments anymore..they changed it from ikobo to paypal which was a mean thing to do,as not all the countries have paypal .. so i don't think this site can ever be treated as a workplace.. you could never make a living here.. but it should be fun so hope you are enjoying it i did,some time ago.

Now that I am retired I do not treat anything I do as work. I post on myLot only when I am bored or the mood hits me. Usually I post while I am watching TV and it is not a program that has my complete attention.

I treat myLot the same way I would a job. With anything you enjoy doing, it pays to take a little time off and get a refreshed perspective on the things you normally like discussing. I try to spend at least a few hours everyday on myLot, responding to posts that catch my attention, then I'll take a day off every few days or so. Blogging is like a job, so why not treat it as such?

No, I don't treat mylot like a job. I come here and post almost every day but I do it when I can and when I want to. I don't have scheduled hours and I don't feel pressured to make a certain amount of money or amount of posts. This is probably why the month is almost at its end and I have made a whopping $2.03 for the month. That's ok though. I am fine with just coming here and posting when I get the time. I spend most of my summer with the kids not behind the computer screen.

hi,well i do have a full time job which keeps me busy from morning till late evening. Mylot for me is only possible late at nights. when all are asleep and i could just chill with my laptop and get on to mylot.

I do not treat my days on myLot the same way as I treat my work days, because it takes a lot more hours to get the same wage, so I put in all the hours I can in to myLot, well the hours that I am not busy doing other things at least. I enjoy myLot not saying that I do not enjoy my work, but this is not compulsory and it is a hobby to me.

now, mylot is my life, im happy here. because here in my lot we are all united. im very happy to read some discussion and post some discussion... and also i want to earn because i have no job.

It's true. Your right about treating it like work. Because it does bring you money, and you should take days off and spend it with family and stuff like that. But you should also think about it in an other way ? Am I only getting money from this ? No i'm not. It can't be... I'm also learning new stuff and looking at how people think. I log into mylot when I have time to work the site. I don't come to mylot every day, only when I have some time. I don't treat mylot the same way as i treat work. I work 5 days a week, from Monday to Friday so I don't always have the time to work in mylot. I don't do much on the weekends, in mylot, unless I have nothing else to do. But given a choice, I would sooner be doing something outdoors instead of sitting inside at my computer.

of course not. being on mylot is like doing your hobby. it's like holiday. and it's very nice i can get holiday everyday...

I just post whenever I can. Basically I don't have my own computer so its always the office. If I had a machine at home I'd be able to do a lot more but I don't. Its nicer to do than my work. I can tell you that. I don't truly like my job. I have to deal with a lot of jokers all the time and the Managing Director is a cheapskate. So Mylot is a much better choice. Its just so much harder to make money this way. So, I guess, I'm stuck both ways.

So far I have not had a day away from myLot since I joined in February. There have been some days when I hardly spent any time here and only added a few posts. I may be out all day but I still have to check my emails and many of them are myLot notifications so I end up posting in discussions my friends have started as I read all my emails. I don't think of myLot as work and my writing work can be done on one or two days a week, or part time on seven days a week, so there is no such thing as a day off for me.

Mylot is a good time filler to say the least!!a little bit addictive to..but I just log on whenever I feel that i can..there have been days recently where ive not had a lot of time to log on...but then there have been other times when ive spent a couple of hours quite happily here...so for me its swings and roundabouts really...but I do like to try and get on most days for a while if i can..it keeps the brain ticking along nicely!!

I am taking mylot as my hobby.I log in as long as i have time to post some of the post, posting by friends or post that i find it intersting.But i always take sunday as a day off going to the church ,having time to the family and enjoy the day walking outside,but still if i got still enough time to do sometyping i sit behind the computer for few mins.Computer is my life.I cant live w/out doing things w/ computer. I am posting also here so that means everyday except sunday i make it less. Greetings from Che!
