My dream house is located in the country. It is within a forest and it has a river near by. It has two stories and an attic. Outside it has a little porch with a swing seat. In the front yard, there's a garden of flowers and in the back yard there's a vegetable garden and yard games for my future children. There's a house not far away where my parents live. I also have a stable for horses and a barn for other animals. I take long walks with my dog around the forest and read under giant trees. My dad and my children go to the river to swim and catch fish.
This is my dream house description, what is your dream house like?

First of all, there are 9 acres square that my dream house is right smack dab in the middle of. The property is out in the country with plenty of shade trees surrounding the house.
In my log cabin, there is an open area for my living, dining, and kitchen area. I love the open concept. At the end of the living area, there is a nice stone fireplace where I can have a nice fire going in the winter so that I will be nice and cozy. There is a nice old fashioned cupboard in which to put my favorite dishes and glassware. Above the kitchen sink, there is nice, wide window facing the back so that I can watch any critters that may come up into the yard.
The master bedroom is at the back of the house where there are patio doors that open out onto the deck. In the mornings, all I have to do is just open those doors to let the fresh air come into the house. I will also have the patio doors open at night to listen to the nocturnal sounds while falling asleep.
The bathroom has a nice big walk-in shower that is 5 feet by 5 feet. I have plenty of room to move around while taking a nice shower after a hard day on the job or after working in the small vegetable and flower gardens.
At the back of the house, there is a wooden deck that is along the length of the back of the house. There are bird feeders and hummingbird feeders that are just off the deck. I enjoy watching the different kinds of birds that show up in my back yard. While I'm sitting in my comfortable lounge chair, I'm either reading a book or working on a current knitting or crocheting project.
I have a couple of small garden out in the area that gets some sun each day. I have tomatoes, zucchini, bell peppers, carrots, spinach, and pumpkins growing there. My flower garden attracts several different kinds of butterflies.
This is my dream home where I would be a very content person.

My dream house is built into the side of the hill. It is two stories and a walk out basement. It has a wrap around porch that goes all the way around the house. Then there are two bedrooms on the main floor along with a very open living/dinning/kitchen, plus a sun room that has windows on two sides lots of plants. The second story isn't a full second story instead it is a lofted master bedroom and office with a balcony. The basement has a theater and library combo and an exercise room. It then opens out to the bottom of the hill and there is a patio which has a roof that is the wrap around porch. There is also a huge workshop!

Hi tikaldema, your dream house can be my dream house ahahah. Maybe I change the river to sea. Well it is interesting that both have the same taste for houses. OK I make a deal with you: who get the dream house first invite the other to visit it for a month. What you think?

My dream house would be on elevated terrain, perhaps on a cliffside overlooking the sea, or in the mountains on a lake. Somewhere temperate with warm summers and lots of snow in the winter so I can use a fireplace, maybe two, one in the living room, one in the bedroom. It would be a two-story home, plus a full-size attic loft I could use as an art studio. Lots of woodwork and an open floorplan, and plenty of decorative touches like ornate molding, and french doors opening onto a large, wrap-around deck with comfortable seating for watching the glorious scenery. Perhaps like a Victorian-style home, gabled windows (many, to let the light in), archways, and decorative touches on the exterior, but with plenty of modern conveniences inside, like an up-to-date kitchen with smooth stone flooring and an island in the middle, and a large bathroom with a deep, jacuzzi tub and spacious shower with multiple jets. Outside, a fragrant garden left to go where it pleased, and a stepping-stone walkway down to the water, whatever type it may be. I'd paint it a whimsical color.
Mmmmm
