3 pm yesterday, the strong wind, thunderstorms and lightning strike our area, there was also a tornado warning and as I was looking the window, branches of the trees were flying, the trash bin of the neighbors are rolling in the street and I thought it's the end of the world for me..LOL, I called up my hubby and he was in the road and need to stop driving since he can't see anything due to the strong wind. I was holding my pillow tight and I realized that I am not yet ready to die..I've never been as coward like this in my life..I was txting my parents and telling them that we are ok because I also don't like them to worry..Anyway,there were few destruction but good thing is that no one died..
it might be a silly question but at this very moment, if I will ask you, are you ready to die anytime?

I think it depends on why I'm dying. If I were to die quickly for my beliefs, then yes, I think I am. If it is to stop someone else from doing something bad, yes. If it is to save a life, yes. But I would regret leaving my friends and cats behind, in some ways more the cats since they have no control over their envorinment other than what we can provide for them.

I don't think I know of anyone who is ready to die. I know I am not ready to go anytime soon. I know we have no choice on when our time is up, but I hope to have many years left.

I am not ready to die either - I want to see my son grow up, marry and raise a family, or live his dreams before I pass.

Correct yogeshdhusa, thanks for sharing and for being real! I know sometimes, people think that we are scared to die because we have major sins but reality is, we are just thinking of our loved ones and our unfinished dreams!

I'm not ready just yet. As someone who has struggled with depression for a good chunk of my adult life, there have been days when the thought has seemed appealing, but I want to hang around and see my kids gow up, see what kind of adults they become.

not really ready to die, (coz to be ready means you have to go to confession and all that religious practices to ensure that your sins are "forgiven") buti dont mind if i die tomorrow or next week, im unhappy with my life. it sucks. i prefer to die in my sleep though. if ever.

I would disagree with some of the posts here. I don't think anybody is ever ready to die, unless they are suffering from some horrible disease that will never get better. Or they are suffering from untreated depression.
To say that you are ready to "meet God" is one thing; that has nothing to do with whether you are ready to die.
Age has nothing to do with it, either. When my Dad was 85, he was in the hospital with heart failure. The surgeon that came to talk to him asked him, "How long do you want to live, anyway?" He said that in a way that me it sound like my Dad had lived long enough. Needless to say, I got rid of this doctor and he wasn't allowed in my Dad's room anymore.
No, I am not ready to die. I have my 79 year-old mother to take care of. I have a daughter who needs me. I don't have time to die. lol

I think at age 56 I would be ready to say goodbye to this life if it had to be. I believe in fate and if it is time it is just that. I think there is a moment of shere terror, then a euphoric feeling comes over you and this is when the soul is taken. What better can we ask for?

I am not ready to die either.i have too many things i want to do and experience.i want to leave something more for my children too and want to live to see grandchildren..this is a long way off as my eldest is only 10.Plus i am still very in love with my husband and don't want to miss out on having more of that feeling.I think if i was in a serious accident or became very ill,i will fight to the very end and hold onto my life if it's possible.

Anybody can be ready to die if you don't have a problem with God. I know that sounds like a fairy tale business but if you think about it you'll know its true. Do you have anything to be afraid of if you do die ? If the answer is yes, then please fix it. If the answer is no then look forward to dying. Its only a transition to something else. So what's to be afraid of ? If you've done nothing to be afraid of, that is.

Oh my, Thank God you're safe my friend. With regards to your question if I am ready to die anytime? My answer is no. I'm not ready. My kids are too young to lose a mom. I think I can't take it seeing them growing up without me. I love my kids so much.
