Hot-air Balloons

Lately it seems that I'm seeing hot-air balloons practically everywhere, so I decided to toss this question out to all of you: Have you ever had the pleasure of riding in a hot-air balloon? It looks like it would be so enjoyable. I doubt that I will ever get to experience it though since I am afraid of heights.

If you noticed the first response, weemam, it's never too late! If I remember correctly, former President George H.W. Bush parachuted from a plane on his 80th.

really briefly. They had one at an event I was at. They just took us up in the air about 30 or 40 feet and came back down. I would love to do it say for a big birthday or something. My sister in law took my mother in law up for her 80th. They had a great time.

The fact that your mother-in-law had enough courage to go up when she was 80, snowy, gives me hope.

I've never been in a hot air balloon. It's not my idea of fun. I am so afraid of heights that I'd sit on the bottom of the balloon and never look up or over. Thank goodness my husband doesn't think it's a romantic thing to do otherwise he would be going with someone other than myself!

There are beautiful but I perfer to keep my feet on the ground. I don't trust things that go in the air.

There is that to take into consideration, jer! I would hope, however, that the operator of the device would know how to calculate such possibilities before allowing me to go up.

Neah..I ve never had an experience wit a Hot Air Balooning
