web sites who owns a site or blog

im just wondering how many people have there own site and or blog im contimplating starting a site of my own and im curiopus are they very hard too manage can you make good money out traffic flow or do you just fill it with affiliate links .i found really cheap hosting ($7.95 a mth) and a free domain name http://www.buynick.info/reliablehosting.htm and need to know a few things before i jump in if any one out there can answer these thing and if you do have a site tell us how can you make it profitable thanks for looking

I have done affiliate marketing for 4 plus years. It takes a lot of hard work and you do need to do a lot of writing. Content is king. Just slapping up some affiliate links isn't going to make you much money.
You also need to learn search engine optimization as well.
