My kitten is such a pig! What's your biggest gripe with your cats?

My kitten was an outdoor cat for about two months
before she came inside to live with us.
Her time outside gave her a fierce appetite and survival
skill.
She has a really good life and plenty of food to eat now.
But the problem is, that she wants everyone's food.
The other two adult cats rarely get to eat when she
is around.
Whenever she hears the cat food bag being opened
she runs from her hiding place in the house and
gobbles up all the food.
My other female cat, EB, stands back and lets her
have the food. She doesn't even try to take her food back.
Sometimes she cleans the kittens ears while she is eating.
It's a very sweet scene.
She's really been like a mom to the kitten.
And in some ways I'm happy that the two are finally getting along.
The kitten stole everyone's food again today.
Sad part is, that I don't have any more cat food
until I get to the store. Now the others will miss out
for at least a couple hours.
Poor babies!
Guess that's my cat gripe for the day.
Do you have any gripes with your cats, today?
Please share their wacky, crazy or funny antics or things
that bother you about your cats.

i have an extremely selfish calico.
every toy is hers.every litterbox is hers.
bed,window seat,food bowl.
she chases her brother and her cousin away from them when she can,and i wish she'd knock it off.
her brother was practically doing the pee-pee dance the one day because she wouldn't let him use the litterbox.she got a time out in the bedroom for that one.

You're so lucky the sweet boy didn't look for a new spot to pee like on your carpet somewhere like my cat did. I took in mom's cats after she passed away and my cat was terrified of them. Now that one of mom's kitties has passed on I only have one left but still my cat is terrified and uses the floor in from of the bathtub as a litter box. I clean up and try to get her to use a litter box but its no use. I ain't got a clue what to do.

I don't have any kittens of my own at the moment, sadly. However my mother has two kittens, one is nearly six months and the other is nearly 2 months old. I am amazed that they have such different personalities and just like people they have their annoying little habits! The older cat is a loner and doesn't like to be held or patted much and I find that annoying! I would like to be able to go over and pick him up but he even glares at me if I walk to close to where he is napping. He also likes to steal food off your plate or out of your hand and has to be put outside when we eat. The younger cat loves to tease the older one but then when the playing gets to rough he meows for us to save him - which is kind of cute the first few times but believe me it gets old! One day he might understand that if he didn't start it the older cat wouldn't have to finish it!
At the moment I know my mum is having troubles with the cats running around play fighting together at night, all night, my gripe with that is that she doesn't have enough sleep and is then cranky for the next day!

At least they're playing together. I have an old cat that I've raised, she's 14 then in 2016 I took in mom's old cats because ma passed on. It's been hell here ever since. My poor kitty hides all the time because she's afraid of the invaders and I have had trouble keeping the invaders in their room where my kitty won't see them. It's not fun here at all at the moment.

My cats are like annoying kids lol. They fight all day long with each other and I mean fight. They are loud and I have chunks of cat hair everywhere when they fight. Im suprized they havent really hurt each other yet. And my youngest is the worst he loves to go outside hunting at night he is declawed so not a great hunter but he tries. But what bothers me is he decided he wants back inside at 4am and will give this awful meow untill it wakes you up and you let him in. I need to get me a cat door but hes a big boy i may need a doggie door instead.

A doggy door for a cat?
I've got to remember that one.
I have a big boy too.
He's the trouble maker now.
He still has his claws intact.
That may be his problem.
Whenever his claws get too long, he thinks
he's the man.
Mommy not like that at all!

my biggest gripe with my cat nemo is that he scratches the wallpaper, he doesnt do it often but he does it occasionally and he makes such a mess!
i think its when he is in at night tho as he always wants to go out in the evening and comes back in the morning.
he is gonna cost me a fortune in re-decorating lol!

I have a very large bowl that I leave dry cat food in all day so it's there 24/7. I also have a couple cats with big appetites, actually, I buy the big 20 lbs bags of food and one of my cat will just eat straight from the bag instead of the bowl.
My biggest gripe about my cats... well there's many.
I have 5 cats, and each one annoys me in some way. The oldest 2 are like 16 and 19. I adopted them after my mom passed. They are awfully annoying. One of them is long hair and vomits furballs all over the place, and goes for the carpet although the house is mostly bare floor. The other is a howler who will just wander through the house howling, even at night. Then a younger one is a sprayer. Although he's been fixed, he still sprays and ugh it's so frustrating. The last 2 really don't bother me too much, but now and then they do something that just makes me want to scream.

I hear you!
I can really relate to the spraying issues.
My big male cat did that before he was fixed.
Now he still turns his tail to the furniture.
But lucky for me, nothing happens! LOL!
As for hairballs, my big cat was always vomiting those
up too. We switched to the green bag, indoor formula
from Cat chow. He rarely throws up now.
Also, sometimes a bit of vaseline on the roof of a cat's mouth
will help them digest things better for fewer hairballs and vomit.
I was always afraid to stick my finger in my cats mouth, so I'd
put the vaseline on his neck and let him clean it off.
Ironcially, the vaseline also killed the fleas on his neck!
I picked up that tip from a vet.
It really works.
My big male cat is a screamer too. So I have to confine him
to the other end of the house in the laundry room with a litter box.
He is perfectly happy.
He is afraid of the dark and is calling out to me, if allowed
to wonder around the house at night, so he has to stay in the
laundry room.
I leave a light on for him in the laundry room and he doesn't make
a sound, all night! Only took me five years to come up with that solution! LOL!
Best of luck with your kitties!
Thanks for chatting with me.
Be well.

OK, I didn't know that other part about his sisters and brothers!
That does make sense though. He might just be calling for them to
see where they are.
My Big Man, male cat, used to be a real howler
when he was just one year old.
He would stay up all night and scream.
And, since we had such a tiny apartment at the time
there was nowhere else to put him where he couldn't be heard.
One day our next door neighbor gave us a female
kitten and he stopped the screaming ASAP.
Him and her were happily married for years, until the new
kitten came along.
Now, I think the first two are getting a divorce! LOL!
He's back to screaming, so he stays in the laundry room
at night.
Glad the tips are going to help!
I'm a treasure trove of kitty factoids and information.
Just love talking about my cats!
Be well.
Thanks for stopping by to chat with me today.

Wow, you're full of answers. I will have to try the vaseline thing at some point.
My howler is howling for his brother and sister cats he lived with at moms, he does it all hours of the day and night. He's the 19 year old, so I guess he's getting senile or something.

I don't have a cat, but my sister just got her family a kitten a few weeks ago and it's completely insane. Her claws have made such a terrible mess of my black jeans. She has a thing about climbing up people, you see. You'll just be standing in the kitchen making yourself a drink, then you'll suddenly feel this weight on the back of your leg. She appears out of nowhere, launches herself at your leg and proceeds to climb up you, with her razor sharp claws piercing into your skin. Of course once she's got to your shoulder she's lovely and purry and "aww". She's a sweetheart but she's completely nuts.
I'm looking forward to her getting out of her "OMGZ MUST KILL EVERYTHING!!!" stage. You're sitting on the couch watching TV going, "TIlly. Tilly get off my shoelaces. Tilly! TILLY!!!"
Though she met my dog for the first time today and has redeemed herself with her adorable cuteness.

Luckily my kitten isn't too big of a pig.
I have a few major issues with him, though luckily he hasn't done them as of yet today.
One of his favourite pastimes is to take a running jump at the curtains and see how high he can get up, and for long he can hang on. I swear, one of these days that curtain rod is going to crash down on him.
The other one is one that my boyfriend is ready to kill Vash over, the tv wires. We recently got a brand new lcd tv, his baby so speak. Lately, the cat has gotten into a habit of going behind the stand and chewing on wires. Luckily, the vet gave us some tips on how to get him to stop.
If anyone else is having that problem, what the vet said to do is wrap the wire the cat likes most in tin foil, apparently when they go to chew on it, they'll hate the sound and eventually just stop altogether.
