Do you use all your mobile phone's features? Are they really required?

Once upon a time, all you could do with a mobile phone was send and receive texts, and be able to make and receive phonecalls. Nowadays, mobile phones are now MP3 Players, Internet Connecting devices, Network Devices, Mini Games console, Digital Camera, Digital Camcorder, etc etc. My question is, do you actually use all of those features? I hardly use half of the features on my phone, as I don't really need them. The camera aspect is alright as well as some of the games, but other than that I can't say I'm terribly interested in using my mobile for anything more than phonecalls and texts!

Hello, CornishAustin. Nowadays, mobile phones have 101 features. People are starting to buy it not to make calls, but to play the games, take the pictures, record movies, get on the Internet, and listen to music while going to work or to somewhere else. My mobile phone has many features that I don't use. I hardly ever listen to music on it! The great advantage of a mobile phone is the camera, but I'd rather use a digital camera than a mobile phone. So, why do I use it? Because it's compact. Mobile phone is really compact nowadays: easy to carry, easy to put in the pocket or in the backpack. Respectfully, Munhozmib.

I'm happy with my current phone right now. I could actually use all it's features except for the internet options since I haven't had time to arrange what I need to arrange. All in all though, I use the features. Especially the music features since I'm a music lover. Some features aren't probably really required but I guess those are just bonuses you get aside from the ones you need. I'm not really into those highly expensive phones that offer tons of new features into one. As long as I can text, call, listen to music, save files. then I'm ok with it.

man, i soooooooooo agree with you. I once has a topic on what features your cellphones have and I noticed that most people are just satisfied as to be able to receive and make calls and send sms's. And that is what the cellphones are made for. To be in contact anytime anywhere, right? Still remember those days when we dont have a cellphone and even before the era of bp calls? Are we lost with each other? No! I have had the cellphone i am using 3 years ago, it is a Samsung E808 and I am so happy with it. I have told my friends that I can use it as long as it is in good condition. I so dont fancy those new technologies and I really really think the companies just work up to waste people's money. Really. In an age of privacy people praise privacy to a never high level but are willing to be contacted anywhere and anytime. This is strange to me.
