sorry for posting so much here, i just have so many questions / experiences pleading for answers / comments and suggestions from everyone. since i consider mylot as an entertaining, fruitful and diverse source of wisdoms in life, i will be continuously sharing experiences and as well as asking so many questions (",)
i just finished reading a chapter in the book about motivation. our world is constantly and abruptly changing together with its people. companies need to cope with these changes to be able to exist, succeed and maintain the best people.
as an aspiring successful professional, i want to ask you on how to motivate a person - worker, student or your kid.
what motivates you to study, work, help someone or follow your parents?
personally, i am motivated if i know that i will be rewarded and recognized after. like if i will be trained to become a better singer/writer or if i will receive a gift. and of course, as a worker i am also motivated if i have the freedom to decide and carry out the task the way i want to plus if i will be included in the profit-sharing (with that i will be able to reward myself and buy anything i wish and i can afford)!

Lots of things help me become more motivated. I want to find meaning in life in general. That's my biggest motivation. I want to leave some type of positive mark in this world before I die. I want to motivate people to see the brighter sides of things. And to be more open minded about others. That statement, 'We're all in this together' couldn't be more true.

there are lots of ways to be motivated it could be for money, affection, love, material things etc..
on my part what motivates me the most is my NOT SO GOOD EXPERIENCES in life and how i managed to get over it...i usually think of this whenever i feel like quitting and i end up telling to myself why in the world i am giving up after i have done so much??
it really helps me a lot...
thnks..God bless

yes, and also mistakes and lessons learned the hard way are good motivations to perform better and try to avoid the same mistake again. and i agree that if you already have put in/invested so much in it, it is really hard to give up on it that easily! thanks petiksmode!

i am a single mom of four children. my children are the one who motivates me. push me up when i am down. inpsire me to try and try and not to stop unti li suceed. they are the one who makes me feel happy and young. they are the reason why i have a smile every time i wake up. they are the reason why i still go on even at times it is hard. they are the ones who motivates me keep me going even without a gift just smiles and a hug is okay.

people who critisize me is the one who motivates me. we cant force people to thank us or give us a gift when we did something great. in a fast world people (most of them) forget to say thank you and sorry, so i dont expect too much from that. some people gets frustrated when others critisize them, i learn this from my wife she is a professional singer and critisicm she get makes her and molds her to be a good singer on what she is right now. so i can say that critisism challenge us and motivates us.
