If I am talking to someone I know can follow my shorthand I do, if not then I write it out completely. I tend to use things like 2, 4, B & U or quick statements like ROFLMAO, FWIW, FYI etc.

No I don't practice it. You see if one does when you are doing discussions whether here in mylot are working in data entry on line you will but them in your writing and them persons will not understand it. There are alot of english students out here who fail because of these jargon.

hmm I too use short forms like, gn, gm, tc, cu, ? for what, and other smily icons to express my feelings that r difficult to say in words. It is a good way to interact while chatting.. regards

I don't really like to use them at all. I used to use them, Its also very annoying when someone only uses them. I see many people just say "ey u, u hav dis?" That makes me irritated, I don't know why. Only ones i use are ty and lol, sometimes brb. Others i have given up using.

The only short forms I ever use are "lol" and "brb". The rest of them just seem silly to me. Why not just hit the y and o? It's not THAT hard to type out a full word.
