How fat is your cat?

I don't think it's healthy for your cat to be that overweight. I got ours to lose weight by mixing mashed French cut green beans into their canned food. Slowly add a teaspoon at a time until it's about half and half. The cats didn't mind and they did lose weight. Also, stop free feeding dry food. They should eat at meal time only. My cats eat about 3 oz of food for dinner and 3 oz for breakfast. Nothing between. All 4 of my cats are the right weight now.

Wow you do have a big cat! Does your cat like a comb or brush? Maybe you could brush its hair daily so that he doesn't get all matted up and have to go to the vet or groomers to get his hair shaved. It is probably pretty cool to him right now though it being so hot and summer starting saturday. What is your cat's name? I don't have any cats just three dogs and a betta fish.

Your cat has mine beat by about 2 lbs. My Buff is a 7 year old male and he weighs 23 pounds. I don't think I could ever have him shaved, he'd be so embarrassed. lol I take him to the groomer once a month so that he doesn't get matted. He hates it, but is so proud of himself once we get home.

We have one cat,and she is getting old,so she is not as fat as she used to be,but at one time she was at least fifteen pounds,because she was always eating,but now she does not as much as she used too,so I worry about her.

one is 13 pounds and i think the other one is 12.. my kitty cats tend to be hefty lol.. it wouldnt be so bad if the 13 pound one wasnt so short body so he looks round

Hi There, Wow, that sounds very familiar. My cat is about 19 years old, severely overweight and her fur has all matted up. We have tried to keep her brushed but it has not seemed to help. I would say she weighs about 30 pounds or so right now. I guess I need to get her to the vet. cheers,

They gain weight after their spayed or neudered or if they get old enough. We had some of our cats spayed and they gain weight quickly.

My kitties are only 6 months old and I would guess they weigh maybe around 5 to 6pounds they are just little things! They are starting to gain weight now though. You have a big cat! I have seen them bigger though.

I dont know exactly, but i would estimate about 21 or 22. he does not weigh as much as the dog who is now tipping the scales at about 25. He is a good armload however.
