yes, my daughter watched it and thought it was the best movie ever, she thinks its better than high school musical ( + the sequal ) i think though it got more popular because of publisity. Noone knew about high school musical, they made stars out of nobodies. With Camp Rock, it has all of the hottest stars from Demi Lovato, to the Jonas Brothers.

I'm not a parent, but I loved this movie, and I'm 25. LOL I kept seeing commercials for the soundtrack to the movie and I thought Demi Lovato had a great voice, so I ended up deciding I just had to watch it. Now, I tend to like things that are younger, so this is way normal for me! I never saw the high school musicals, but seeing the previews for Camp Rock I just had to watch it. I grew up dreaming of being a singer, and I have even gotten a few opportunities in the past few years. But this movie made me think about things. When I was growing up I never really felt encouraged to go after my dreams, it wasn't till I was like 19 or 20 that my dad realized that I actually have what it takes to perform and sing for people, and that was at a college talent show.
It's just so great to see kids and teenagers actually being encouraged to learn music and to develop their talents. So reallym that's why this movie meant so much to me. And Demi's song "This is Me", I have been singing it since I saw the movie! I even downloaded it from i-tunes.
This is definitely a movie I will buy when it's released and if I have kids someday I will definitely feel good letting them watch it; it is just good clean fun, good for the whole family. :)

My kids watched this movie. They are big fans of the Jonas Brothers. Their dad just bought the DVD and it has run several times already in the past week. I find the story good because it inspires young people to get involved in music. It also has great songs and teaches good lessons on telling the truth and being true to oneself.
I just can't help noticing Demi Lovato's too big smile in several scenes that don't look natural anymore. I'm also not much impressed with her voice. I like the texture of the blond girl's voice better. After hearing the songs several times, Tess' renditions sounded more professional.
I also was kind of bothered (more like get dizzy) by the way Mitchie and Peggy sing with too much body movements. So I just listen to the songs without watching the TV. But that's just me :)
