a cup of hot coffee and stress is off. it is always a soothing experience to have a cup of coffee. in India, many people though prefer to have tea. coffee has caffeine while tea has theine. both are stimulants and so are preferred when you are feeling sleepy. they rejuvenate you. so, tell me how many cups of tea or coffe do you take in a day? and of course, if you feel there is any advantage or disadvantage do let me know. have a good day.

Coffee and tea are beneficial to people's health. But in China, most of people choose tea as their daily drinks.Coffee is usually only the regular consumption of white-collar class. So as a normal chinese,I drink tea everyday. But too much tea or coffee consumption for a person everyday is also unhealthy.Excessive drinking can make people over-excitement and insomnia, digestive system disorder is also one of the consequences.

Painkiller77,
Greetings, I can drink 7 to 8 cups a day. I am a certified coffee lover. My hometown are known for coffee lovers and usually drinks 7 cups of coffee a day. The average life span is 80 years old. They drink brewed coffee without sugar, mostly the Liberica Coffee Beans. Later on people tendency to be busy thus introduced to the comfort of 3-in-1 coffees the one with sugar and cream but made from the Robusta Coffee Beans. Good coffee starts with harvesting. Only ripe coffee should be harvested, dried and stored properly inorder to store coffee for 6 months to 1 year. Inadequate drying or improper storage may bring about production of molds. Molds have toxins that are bad for our health. Roasted coffee beans last for 2 months. Ground coffee last for 7 days but can be extended up to 12 days if placed in a brown bag, placed in a ziplock bag, placed in a sealed container and placed inside the freezer. For me thats a lot of trouble. Brewed coffee last only for 6 hours before becoming stale. Stale coffee is not good for it may give you upset stomach that may lead to loose bowel movement. Always drink coffee with food to enhance digestion but not to take it without food for coffee basically is acidic and may give you hyperacidity. Drinking 3 to 4 cups a day decrease your chances of having either prostrate cancer or having kidney stones or gallstones because coffee is diuretic. You should take 2 cups of water for every cup of coffee in order to compensae the water loss due to the diuretic effect of coffee. Right now, I am promoting others to drink coffee without sugar or go sugar-less than having a sugar-free coffee. I rather put honey as natural sweetener than refined sugar. Coffee alone is an antioxidant but the effect of which is nilled when sugar and cream both oxidants are mixed with coffee. Always buy from a reputable source. In our area, some would sell coffee coated with cooking oil. This practice is to make the coffee beans look like freshly roasted. A good roasted coffee beans have a shinny luster. The cooking oil becomes rancid after several days, and this is an indication of toxins present in the beans later on will also be in your drinking cup. Always bring along brown paper to check if they put some oil to the coffee beans. You can actally see the oil floating at the surface of your brewed coffee. To bring out the aroma of your coffee, the water should reach 100oC. In high altitudes, water does boil at 97 to 99oC due to low pressure but will not bring out the aroma of your coffee. You could bring along your pressure cooker or espresso machine that put a good pressure to the coffee to release the enticing aroma. Lastly, coffee is best shared with friends and family and bring out a good conversation over a cup of coffee. My coffee tree is just begining to bear fruit and maybe at the end of February I can have my first harvest. By then, coffee anyone?
Yours truly,
Ferritic

I think there is more advantage to drinking tea but I do not really like the taste of the tea, i would rather drink coffee because I love the taste of coffee I am not sure what it is about it. Of course I am addicted to the caffeine as well and I know that caffeine can be in tea but i know you can get other stims from tea that you can not get from coffee.
Anyway, I do prefer coffee but I know that Tea is better in the long run.

yes tea is better in the long run. i have rad some articles in the newspaper which boast about the beneficial effects of tea. but i think it is only about black tea and not tea which has dairy powder added. i think this should be kept in mind. happy my lotting.

I take tea. Not always very rarely when I flavor it with ginger. That is once in a week. I prepare tea daily for my husband. I take other health drinks like ragi. But more cups rather 8 to 10. Through out the day. I feel fresh.
Recently I heard that tea is healthy for women than men.

I drink coffee 1 or 2 cups a day. Sometimes I drink 3 cups. I heard that people should only drink up to 5 cups a day , more than that is harmful to ones body already. And if you drink too much it doesn't become a stimulant anymore, You become dizzy instead of awake and alert. Well, like they say, if you have too much of something then it's bad for you.
