Does anyone have a real old-fashioned recipe for a good Italian Marinara or Meat Sauce. Since I moved to Puerto Rico, have not been able to find any books on this here and lost my grandfathers recipe.
Would love a real old fashioned recipe! All suggestions accepted and tried

The recipe I use may not be real old fashioned, but it works well for me.
Can of red pack crushed tomatoes
3 large cloves of minced garlic
one medium onion diced fine
Fresh parsley, chopped
2 bay leaves
1 tablespoon of sugar
Olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
Saute your onions and garlic in olive oil, using a large skillet.
Pour in your crushed tomatoes
add the spices, sugar and parsley
bring to a boil, then turn your heat down to a simmer, simmer for 45 minutes

I dont but I will follow your discussion because I hope to have enough tomatoes to make sauce this year. I have never made homemade spaghetti sauce and I think it will be delcious if I can get a good recipie.
