Imagine my surprise, I am an ex-New Yorker, living in Puerto Rico. I interviewed for a job as a para-legal. The qualifications said, English speaking mandatory. Imagine my surprise when I showed up for the interview, resume and references in hand only to find..... are you ready for this? THe law firm was Chinese, and nobody spoke Spanishor English.

Interesting. How on earth would they figure out whether your knowledge of English would be sufficient if you would be somebody who had lived in Puerto Rico all their life? And how do they do business in Puerto Rico without having anybody there who speaks Spanish? How strange!
