My husband lost his cell phone, very unlucky of him. This is the third cell he lost in a span on 3 years. We searched the house hoping he had misplaced it somewhere-the problem is he can't remember where and when the last time he used it.We tried calling the number immediately but it's either off or the sim has been removed. What concerns him are the numbers in it.What concerns me is until when he'll take care of his belongings.Wish the cell phone company would come up with features that fits the forgetful owner.Something like an alarm or sensor that goes on when the owner gets far from it.Don't you wish the same thing?Have you lost your cell phone? How many cell phones have you lost?

I've lost 1 phone and dropped 3 phones in water.
I was very careless and clumsy. Now, it's a little better
When I lost my first phone, I called the Telco to ask them to lock my SIM card so that whoever picked it up would not be able to use it to call. I do not wish to pay for other people's phone usage.

That stinks! My network allows me to 'lock' a phone, but it doesn't have a SIM card that anyone can just take out.
What we used to do for my dad, since he lost his phone ALL of the time for awhile, was to go online and buy a lot of about 10 phones for ~$50. Then, every time he lost one, we'd give him one of the cheapie replacements and it wasn't such a big deal if it got lost.
I've only lost my phone temorarily. It tends to get hidden under paper, under car seats, in my purse, the usual. A quick ring usually turns it to found, unless the ringer is off. That's super frustrating! I've never lost one and never found it, though, and I tend to be pretty careless.

MY cell phone was robbed in a bus, once. After there,I start using a software, called GUARDIAN,( u can find it at www.guardian-mobile.com),once u download this software,u install it in ur cellphone, and do a simple configurations.U enter a cellphone number,(not yours, but the nr of another person of ur family,or a friend),then set up a secret password, and start the application. Then, the application is always open, but hidden, there is no way of seeing it,or to remove it.If someone steal ur phone, when the sim is changed,u will get an sms in the number u entered before, then, from this number,u can send some sms to command at distance ur lost phone.U can make it send you your contacts,ur call list, etc,or u can delete photos and sms,as well as contacts on it.And the person who actually have ur phone, will know nothing, because there will be no kind of alarms in his phone.Works very well, see the site for more details.
