you catch a song on the radio, you like what you hear, you download it to your ipod or mp4 player, you listen to it everyday. looking back, what made you listen and like the song in the first place? is it the melody or music given life by great instrumentals? or is it the words that make up its lyrics that captivated you, as if the song is talking to you?

The melody of the music will interest me first, and if I like the words, or wonder what they mean, I will be drawn to search the words that I heard, and therefore find the lyrics so I can fully understand the song that is being sung! For example, last year I heard Fergie's song, "Big Girls Don't Cry!" and was not sure if I liked it or not! She could not be serious, big girls do cry! So after listening to it a few hundred times on local radio, I searched for it. The rest of the words are more interesting, and tell me the song is not really bad!
