Favorite movies and why

I thought it would be fun for mylot members to list some of their favorites movies and why they like them. Old or new, doesn't matter. Here is my list, let me know about what you like. I am going to try and list 10, can you? "JOE VERSUS THE VOLCANO: This is one of my all time favorites, I love Tom Hanks and I love the symbolism in this movie. For years I was in a job I hated and this movie helped me hang onto my hopes of getting out of there. and now I finally am. It is funny in a weird way and makes you think. "THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION" - This is a moving story about an innocent man who get incarcerated and finally escapes. It is also about a persons will and determination. Even though I have seen this movie a gazillion times I still watch like it is the first time. Tim Robbins is excellent in this movie which co-stars Morgan Freeman. "STEEL MAGNOLIAS" - yeah I know it is definetly a chick flick but it still does a good job at making me laugh and cry even after seeing it again and again. This movie has several stars in it, Sally Field, Darryl Hannah, Dolly Parton, Shirley McClaine to mention a few. "FINDING NEMO" - A very funny animated movie with Albert Brooks and Ellen De Generes. I like this one because it makes me laugh and it is just fun. "REAR WINDOW" - Alfred Hitchcock film about a man witnessing something maybe he shouldn't have. Suspensful. Originally this may have been a play not really sure. I like older movies and I like the suspense in this one. It is done well. "THE WEDDING SINGER" - Well pretty much anything with Adam Sandler I like, Big Daddy, 50 first dates etc. His movies have some really good music in them. I like the wedding singer because it is just fun and lighthearted and you get to hear alot of fun 80's music. "PULP FICTION" - This one is has a lot of characteristics. It has violence, chasing scenes, comedy, music, etc. It is a bizarre movie but fun to watch. I have seen it many times. Samuel L Jackson is really good in this movie. Other stars include John Travolta, Bruce Willis, and Uma Thurman. "STAR WARS" The first one. I like all the star wars movies and was so excited to hear George Lucas was doing the prequels to the 3 episodes he had originally done. I like the 1st of the new ones the best. I liked the young Anakin, and the pod racing. Even though i love all six this one I like this one the best. I thought Liam Neelson made a great jedi, too bad he was only in this one episode. I thought the Princess of Naboo's ship was awesome. "INDIANA JONES" - Any of them, even the new one. these are all fun, packed full of action and adventure. My favorite is the very first one with Karen Allen. For some reason I did not think she was all that great in the very latest one. My 2nd favorite out of the 4 is #3 , the one with Sean Connery. "MAJOR LEAGUE" - This to some may be a silly movie but I like watching. Has lots of stars in it and is funny. Like seeing the underdog win. there are many more, but these are just some of the one I like, how about you?
