help! what internet protection suite would you suggest?

As a home user i'd recommend AVG. Norton is really not worth it from an individual user, but can come into its own in a business setting.

I suggestion is use either norton internet security or Nod32. Both are good to protect your PC. i am currently using norton internet security myself. Older Norton Antivirus is slower and it will slow your system very much. But the new norton internet security is great it not slow your system. I am using norton internet security from 1 year and not formated my system once because of viruses so i personally suggest to use norton internet security. Hope this helps...

I would recommend McAfee. Both McAfee and Norton are good. McAfee is not as much a memory hog as Norton is. AVG is a Good Free protection program

I think you should use specialist for everything. I use ESet NOD32 as my anti-virus. NOD32 is the best anti virus and it doesn't slows your system. I use ZoneAlarm (Free) as my firewall and it really provides protection against the intruders. And for spywares I use spybot search and destroy. You might be thinking that running all these things will slow your pc down but trust me your PC won't slow down that much.
