Beating the dogs

Yes, dogs have feelings, too. I get angry, too when someone has a dog and is mean to it. Luckily we have loss against crewelty to animals. Once guy beat and swung his dog by the food and tried to suffocate it. He's in jail now and his lawyer is claiming that he is emotionally disturbed. His dog is being adopted by someone who loves and cares for animals.

I have been an animal lover all my life...I've had cats mainly since I've been five years old. Animals are very compassionate and sensitive creatures and they do have feelings and do feel pain. Anyone who purposely beats ANY animal doesn't deserve to have the animal and any harm is animal cruelty. Have you ever considered reporting these guys to some Humane Society or ASPCA?

Yes. Dogs have feelinmgs too. I hate it when people mistreat them. I am a dog lover. they have feelings and they do not deserve to be hurt. They deserve love just like everyone else does. If a person is not going to love the dog, then they do not need one. They need to take care of it like it was their child.

I know they have feelings too and in fact when you beat them, they are still loyal to you...My dad tried to beat our dog with a stick when we were younger when he attack the cat, but, it was just to discipline him and give a lesson not to do it again and after that, they were good friends already..Our dog and cat....I know they have feelings and truly they are very lovable!

I agree that dogs do not need to be beaten. If it is being used as a form of punishment, there are plenty of other ways to deal with problems. A stern voice is enough to get your point across to a dog, they are very smart animals. I do not hit my dogs. I would not want it done to me so why is it fair to do it to them?

Ok first off if your watching someone do something and you know it's wrong and you don't do something about it then it makes you part of the problem.I would call the humane society,that's why they have it.

No living creature should be beaten! Inflicting pain on another living thing is evil! I saw a man throw a home made spear through the side of a dog, once. I reported him, but nothing was done about it. They are passing laws in my state now to protect animals more. One guy put his girl friend's dog in an oven. They based a new law on this dog and called it "Henry's law".

First of all not to be smart or anything, but why in the world don't you call the humane society? This is animal abuse and the dogs are helpless animals.It makes me sick to think that no one is even considering helping them out , a simple phone call would do it,that's all it takes, they may have feelings who knows but they can't really express them, not like we can anyway .Please help them!

I agree with you, the people who beat their dog should not have the dog as a pet. I have a dog and he understand us very well, when i am angry on him and say you bad dog, he understand that he has done something wrong. I have to show him that this is the thing you have done wrong. next time if he want to the same thing he will see me and i will give a look. thats it. then he never dare to do anything wrong. love and teaching him will make him understand.

I totally disagree with beating a dog or any animal with a stick. If you have a dog or cat it is a pet, it sould be considered a member of your family. Why would you beat a dog with a stick other than to be mean? Dogs learn very easily with a stern voice. If the dog is not learning, take the dog to an obediance class. They have them all over the place. I think that anyone that abuses an animal should have their animal removed from them, and they should have to go to court and get fined or jail time for what they did. If you have one, it is your PET. You do not beat on your pet. They are there in your life for love and companionship and if you love them, they will love you back.

I consider that a form of Animal cruelty all in itself. I mean i dont know what i would do if i ever saw someone doing that to one of there animals. I mean i undersrtand that animals need to be disciplined at times, but most of the times, just a raised voice will handle that situation in a hurry. I think at times people tend to forget that animals are live beings also and they do have feelings and fell pain just like hunmans do.

I agree with you,dogs are our good friends,they are very faithful to human,especially,the persons who live with them.I love dogs,when i am eating,if my lovely dog comes,i will give him something,we share together,when i feel depressed,dog will here with me,we are close.How clever they are!Some of my friends do not like dogs,they say:"they are so violent and dirty,we are afraid of them",maybe they do not know the truth,that is:if you treat them as friends,them will response in the same way,so that we can get well with each other,and be happy.Sticks like weapon make the relationship worse,so here i appeal to some person:please retract your sticks to lovely dogs!

Its plain cruelty and these people should be banned for life from ever owning dogs again. Report them.

Hi ajithlal, in my religion all living thing in this planet have the co-equality, so we are not allowed to beat others, not only human being, including the rest of the creatures, dogs included of course. Here I can see a limb of the devils always seek fun throwing stones to or beating stray and outcast dogs in the street now and then They never realize that what they would feel if someone does the same disgusting act to them Happy posting

I agree with you.When I discipline my dogs,I just spank them by hand.I know it wouldn't hurt them that much as my hands are small.My dad used to beat them up but my sister and I would stay close to them.Now,he just gives verbal reprimanding.

you cant ever do that,it will really hurt the feelings of that dog and it should not be done anytime

i just have one thing to say:as long as he is able to hit a dog be sure that he will hit his wife,his kids and even more.i know a guy that was beating his dog each day because it is just an animal and everybody said that i was over reacting and that he is in fact a good person.well guess what:that good persong tried to throw his wife from the window one day and after that we found out that he was beating her and the kids all the time.this is my opinion about this people:i prefer to stay away from them and they should be punished.beating doesn't mean discipline.

I hate to even think about it, i just don't know why other people is having a happy feeling about it. If they could only put themselves on the dogs shoes I don't know how would they feel. I just hope they'll realize that what they are doing is not right at it is against the law. But I am not about giving them long imprisonment as well as if you have killed a person. I hope people would be responsible of their actions and consider that beating in any way is not right.

As we,humans have right to do anything that we desire to do,and to live.The animals like dogs also have rights to live. We should not forget that we all are born to help and care animals,because we have thinking power unlike animals.This beating of dogs or any other animals should not be encouraged...
