I just reminded myself of this question while answering one of Coffeebreak's discussions.
Are we ever going to find out who Spinelli's father is? I thought we were supposed to. Or did that get scrapped after the writer's strike?
I loved his Aussie accent and debonair act the other day. I also loved how it all crumbled as soon as he saw Maximista!

Yeah, that came and went quite quickly! I hope they dont make that a storyline for some time to come. Spenilli is perfectly fun and hilarious nad just a breath of fresh air that that soap needs and to muk it all up with a paternity suit, and you know it will be REALLY muked up, it will just take the fun and personality out of Spenillie and I like him just the way he is! I was horribly depressed one day and I am talking HORRIBLY depressed, I turned it on just for the noise and a scene with Spenilli came on and he had me chuckling! So PLEASE GH - - - don't ruin our amazing Spenilli!

He has just been hilarious lately! Yeah, somthing like finding his father - it would tarnish the wonderful character - right now it is all about his loyalty and friendship with Jason..throw in a father and there is competition and he'd have to choose...that'd just ruin Spenillie and the whole point of the character

Thanks for the BR. I saw today that he and Maxie did it, but then she told him it was a mistake and didn't want to do it again. I am glad they didn't hook them into a romantic relationship, but sorry the poor guy was hurt, but I think making it romantic would have ruined the wonderful relationship they do have. ANd the way they use Spenilli - he is so much fun to watch and such a breath of fresh air to that stodgy old town!
